Appointment with a CAB Debt Adviser
If you make an appointment with a CAB Debt Adviser, it is helpful to have the following documents to hand when you speak with them.
- Your tenancy or mortgage agreement.
- Any Hire Purchase (HP) or Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) agreement(s).
- Your Council Tax bill for the current tax year.
- A draft statement of your Income and Expenditure (see pages 12-13 of the Debt Self Help Pack,) with as much detail of expenditure as possible.
- Recent wage slips, if applicable.
- The last 3 months of Universal Credit (UC) statements, if applicable, as a PDF file, print copy or log in details for your UC claim.
- The last 3 monthly bank statements for ALL accounts, even unused ones. If possible, in electronic PDF format for emailing.
- Your Experian credit report - obtain one free from this link.
- Any paperwork related to your debts (e.g. recent letters, statements, notices. etc.)
