Energy Best Deal

Energy Best Deal is a consumer education programme developed by Ofgem and Citizens Advice and funded by energy companies.It offers information and guidance to vulnerable consumers and the frontline advisers who assist them.

It aims to raise awareness of opportunities for being more energy-efficient and reducing the cost of home energy. Information and advice are provided on a one-to one basis and in informal group settings. Examples of some of the issues covered include:

• Switching to the most cost-effective deal for home energy supply
• Where to go if you are struggling to pay for home energy.
• Eligibility for discounts and other schemes to help reduce costs.
• How to save money by using energy more efficiently in the home.

In addition, the service can link people with other local helping services that can assist when someone is facing financial hardship.and struggling with home energy costs.
